CHILD CARE 12

Sometimes, When No Other Cause Can Be  Found For Infertility, It Is Attributed To Either Stress Or Tension. This Is Usually Incorrect, As There Is Little Solid Evidence Of Psychological Factors Causing Lasting Infertility. Sometimes It Is Even Said That The Woman Has A Subconscious Rejection Of Motherhood, But This Simple Shifts Attention From The Gaps In Medical Knowledge And Wrongly Puts The Blame Or Her. Infertility Is Usually Defined As The Inability To Have A Child, So Women Who Experience Repeated Pregnancy Loss Are Often Described As Having A Fertility Problem, And Sometimes As Being Infertile. However, The Experience Of Losing A Pregnancy Is Quite Different From That Of Not Being Able To Achieve One In The First Place, And Infertile Is A Totally Inappropriate And Cruel Description. The Most Frequent Type Of Pregnancy Loss Is Early Miscarriage, Which Affects Up To One In Five Pregnancies And Can Have A Variety Of Causes. One In 150 Pregnancies Fails Because The Embryo Implants Outside The Womb, Usually In The Fallopian Tube. This Is Currently On The Increase.
It’s Important To Remember That Fertility Is Not Static. It Changes Over Time For Both Sexes And They May React Differently With Different Partners. It Can Be Very Distressing For A Man Or Woman Who Has Children With One Partner To Find That It Is Impossible With A New One. Equally, A Couple With One Child May Be Poleaxed To Find That They Cannot  Have A Second What Is Know As Secondary Infertility, Which Is Very Much Misunderstood. The Couple Will Hardly Be Consoled By Friends And Relatives Telling Them To Be Grateful For What They Already Have. Fertility Problems Can Sometimes Be Overcome Without Medical Intervention Couples Come Off The Waiting List For Treatment Because They Have A Child Without Assistance.
Sadly, Most Fertility Problems Cannot Be Cured, Although Many Couples Can Be Helped To Have A Baby. Tubal  Surgery May Be A Solution Or Ovulation Induction. But Despite Research To Try To Create Am Artificial Fallopian Tube, Badly Damages Or Missing Tubes Cannot Yet Be Replaced. Ovaries Which Have Completely Ceased To Function Cannot Be Renewed, Although Research Into Simple Ovarian Tissue May Make Transplantation An Option In Years To Come. There Is Not Miracle Drug That Will Suddenly Enable A Completely Infertile Man To Produce Healthy Sperm. Some People Argue That Prevention Is Anyway Better That Cure, And The Emphasis Should Be On Reproductive Health From An Early Age. Less Use Of Damaging Contraceptive Devices Or Drugs, Less Exposure To Toxic Chemicals And A More Healthy Life Style. This May Hold True For Future Generations, But It Does Not Help Couples Now. For Many People It Will Never Be Possible To Deal With The Cause Tof Their Infertility, But It May Be Possible To Resolve Their Childlessness Through Assisted Conception. It Is Not Suitable For Everyone And The Main Type Of Infertility It Can Deal With Are Set Out On Future.
